Sockety Farm Yurts

There are three yurts at Sockety Farm, ideal  for families, friends or couples.

Home Farm Camping

Nestled in Tarrant Gunville, you will find the award winning site of Home Farm Camping. They have boutique bell tents and yurts as well as regular camping and motorhome pitches. The ‘Copse’ and the ‘Glebe’ are nestled deep in the Dorset countryside, these yurts were built locally following a traditional Mongolian design; they are set apart from each other so you will never feel rushed or crowded.

The ‘Copse’ sleeps 4/5 and ‘Glebe’ sleeps 2/3 people. There is a shared kitchen area, for use only by residents staying in the yurts, which consist of kitchen units, two camping cookers, pots, pans and utensil’s.

Poppet is an 18ft yurt with a king-sized bed situated in a clearing at the top of the woods above the pond. Poppet is available for up to 2 adults and has a king sized bed with an oak head board, linen, a down duvet and pillows. There are lights, electricity sockets and an electric blanket. There’s a log burner to quickly heat the whole yurt; and there is a dressing table, a sofa and chairs as well as a heated towel rail with white bath towels. In addition to the electric lighting there are glass candle lanterns for those that prefer candle light.

Farrs Meadow
